Week 2 ECC Awards

VB Osterhoudt Named ECC Defensive Player of the Week; Four Knights Find Spot on Honor Roll

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – Following the conclusion of week 2 around the East Coast Conference and Queens College Athletics, Five Knights were awarded a spot on the ECC Weekly Award Sheet for their respective sports.

Volleyball
Defensive Player of the Week – Lindsay Osterhoudt (Orlando, FL) | MB
Following the conclusion of the GCU Invitational, Osterhoudt was named to the All-Tournament Team as she tallied 17 kills and 13 blocks for 25.5 points. The Orlando native notched a career-high 8 kills and 6 blocks in the four-setter against Saint Rose.

Women's Soccer
Honor Roll – Ariana Vargas (Brentwood, N.Y.) | GK
Vargas and her defense stood out making 13 saves on the week including tying a career-best 7 saves against St. Michael's in Sunday's high heat. The senior began the week making six saves against Chestnut Hill.

Men's Soccer
Honor Roll – Adolfo Martinez Paquet (Sevilla, Spain) | Midfielder
The sophomore tallied a season-high three points in the 2-1 victory over Chestnut Hill. Paquet notched his second game-winner of the season as he scored from the penalty mark. Earlier in the match, he would tally his first assist of the season in freshman Bryce Cherry's (Amityville, N.Y.) first goal. 

9_6_ECC_XC_Honor_Roll 
Cross Country
Honor Roll – Njehan Phillip (Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Phillip earned a top 10 finish as the Brooklyn native finished ninth with a time of 27:17.4. 
 
Honor Roll – Alexis Hall (West River, MD)
Hall earned a top 20 finish as she completed the course in 22:19.8 for a 15th place finish. Hall bested her 2021 season finish of 22:55.1 on Friday.
