Knights Conclude Season in ECC Outdoor Track & Field Championship

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – On Sunday the Queens College men's and women's track & field teams competed in the East Coast Conference Outdoor Championship hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College at the Roberts Wesleyan College Outdoor Stadium. 
 
The men's team earned 52 points to place fifth with the Knights earning first place finishes in the 200m and 10000 m events. While the women's side placed sixth earning a total of 38 points with the Knights placing first place in the triple jump. 
 
ECC Outdoor Championship Highlights
  • Junior Steven Cuascut (Queens Village, N.Y.) placed first in the men's 10,000 m event with a time of 33:22.07.
  • Freshman Diego Folgado (Madrid, Spain) took first place in the men's 200m final with a time of 22.20. 
  • The men's team of freshman Eric Oh (West Hempstead, N.Y.) freshman Keith Hyland (Levittown, N.Y.)Albert Wheeler (Mastic, N.Y.) & Folgado placed second in the 4x100 with a time of 44.57. 
  • In the men's Discus Throw, senior Robert Skidmore (East Islip, N.Y.) placed second with a throw of 39.12 for a total point of 128-4. 
  • Freshman Fabian Tan (Forest Hills, N.Y.) placed fourth in the men's Javelin throw with a distance of 45.27.
  • In the women's triple jump sophomore Bianca Hiltz (Southwick, Mass) placed first with a distance of 10.68. 
  • Freshman Khareena Primus (St. Andrew, Grenada) placed second in the women's 200m with a career-best time of 25.26. 
  • In the women's 100m final, Primus placed third with a time of 12.44. 
  • While the women's team of Hiltz, Primus, Jacklyn Diel (Stony Brook, N.Y.), Hayley Matthews (Freeport, N.Y.) placed third in the 4x100 with a time of 51.30.
