Outdoor Track & Field Wraps up Regular Season at Jim Barber & Jack Maloney Tri-Meet

NEW HAVEN, CT. – Competing for the third straight day, the Queens College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams wrapped up the regular season as they competed in the Jim Barber & Jack Maloney Tri-Meet hosted by Southern Connecticut State University Saturday at Jess Dow Field. 

Jim Barber & Jack Maloney Tri-Meet Highlights
  • Freshman Khareena Primus (St. Andrew, Grenada) placed fourth in the women's 200m with a career-best time of 25.76
  • In the women's 800m, freshman Fatima Morrobel (Long Beach, N.Y.) placed eighth with a time of 2:37.35. 
  • While freshman Natalia Cuttler (Islip, N.Y.) recorded a career-best time of 5:36.25 in the W1500m to finish sixth, while sophomore Alexis Hall (West River, MD) rounded out a top 10 finish for the Knights with a time of 6:10.88 in the event. 
  • The 4x400 team of Primus, sophomore Bianca Hiltz (Southwick, Mass), freshman Jacklyn Diel (Stony Brook, N.Y.), and Morrobel placed first with a time of 4:39.72. 
  • Sophomore Amanda Joseph (Queens Village, N.Y.) placed eighth in the Hammer event with a career-best throw of 34.77m. 
  • On the men's side, Freshman Diego Folgado (Madrid, Spain) placed ninth in the 100m with a time of 11.14. 
  • In the 200m, Folgado placed seventh with a time of 23.08. 
  • While junior Myles Jackson (San Juan Trinidad and Tobago) placed eighth in the 400m event with a time of 52.74.
  • While junior Steven Cuascut (Queens Village, N.Y.) placed second in the 5000m with a time of 16:15.83. 
  • In the men's triple jump, freshman Zack Sow (Columbus, Ohio) set a career-best jump of 10.82m to place fifth.  
UP NEXT: Head coach Robert Davis and the Knights will now use the week to prepare for the East Coast Conference Championship set to take place in Rochester, N.Y. on Sunday (May. 8) hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College.
