NEW HAVEN, CT. – Competing for the third straight weekend, the Queens College men's and women's track and field competed in the Wilton Wright Invitational hosted by Division II member Southern Connecticut State University.
The Knights competed against several DII members as they competed against host SCSU, Adelphi University, New Haven University, Post University, and Division I schools in Fairfield, Central Connecticut, Quinnipiac, and more.
Wilton Wright Invitational Highlights
- Freshman Khareena Primus (St. Andrew, Grenada) led the way for the Knights as she finished first in the Women's 100M with a time of 12.56.
- She would continue her day with a second-place finish in the Women's 200M with a time of 25.83.
- In the Women's 100m Hurdles, sophomore Bianca Hiltz (Southwick, Mass) finished eighth with a time of 18.13.
- Hiltz continued her top 10 finish in the Hurdles event as she finished seventh in the 400M with a time of 1:15.87.
- The women's team of Primus, Hiltz, freshman Jacklyn Diel (Stony Brook, N.Y.), and freshman Fatima Morrobel (Long Beach, N.Y.) took third place in the Women's 4x400 Relay.
- Sophomore Amanda Joseph (Queens Village, N.Y.) finished eighth in the Women's Hammer event with a throw of 32.86m.
- In the Men's 800M, junior Myles Jackson (San Juan Trinidad and Tobago) finished 14th with a time of 2:02.87.
- While graduate student Njehan Phillips (Brooklyn, N.Y.) earned a career-best time of 4:18.94 in the Men's 1500M.
- Freshman Daniel Fuzailof (Queens, N.Y.) placed eighth in the Men's 400M Hurdles with a time of 1:05.99.
- In the Men's 4x100 Relay, the team of freshman Eric Oh (West Hempstead, N.Y.) Freshman Diego Folgado (Madrid, Spain), freshman Keith Hyland (Levittown, N.Y.) & Albert Wheeler (Mastic, N.Y.) placed fourth with a time of 44.83.
