FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team returns to Flushing as they open a two-game homestand against the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds Saturday afternoon.
The Knights have lost five straight to the Firebirds with the last victory coming on January 27, 2018, as the Knights swept the season series 2-0. At home, Queens holds a 6-4 record and are 3-2 in their last five games against UDC.

Queens rallied back from a 27 point deficit before running out of energy to fall 77-68 in the first matchup of the season in the nation's capital.
Scouting Queens College
Queens (2-15 overall, 1-9 ECC) will look to even the season series and end a two-game skid as they host the Firebirds Saturday afternoon.
On the season Queen is averaging 64.8 points on 40.3 percent shooting, 40.3 rebounds, and 14.9 assists per game.
In East Coast Conference play, the offense is led by freshman
Jennah DeGout (Bronx, N.Y.) averaging a near double-double with 12.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. DeGout is coming off a career-high 32 points and 18 rebounds as she tallied her fourth double-double of the season. In ECC play, the rookie has tallied three double-doubles on the season. She was played ECC Player of the Week back on January 3
rd.
While junior Khadija Demry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) leads the offense averaging 12.0 points per game and has tallied 192 points on the season. Demry has tallied nine double-digit performances including a career-high 24 points over Post University. The Brooklyn native has been named to the ECC honor roll sheet twice.
Scouting District of Columbia
UDC (9-10 overall, 5-5 ECC) are on a two-game losing skid having fallen to Daemen and Molloy.
As a team, they are averaging 62.0 points on 34.3 percent shooting, 42.5 rebounds, and 12.3 assists per game on the season.
Latavia Jackson leads the offense averaging 15.1 points per game and has tallied 20 points or more on five occasions this season with a season-high 22 points in the season opener against Caldwell.
While Destiny Ryles is averaging 11.6 points per game and has been named ECC Rookie of the Week two times this season. Ryles tallied a career-high 25 points in the victory over the Knights.
