STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Queens College men's and women's indoor track and field competed in the East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship Saturday afternoon hosted at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
The men's team finished in seventh place, while the women's team placed ninth in the championship.
East Coast Conference Championship Highlights
- In the women's 60-meter, freshman Khareena Primus (St. Andrew, Grenada) notched a career-best time of 8.08 to place third in the event.
- In the 200m dash, Primus placed ninth with a career-best time of 26.88.
- Freshman Fatima Morrobel (Long Beach, N.Y.) placed sixth in the women's 1000m run with a time of 3:13.20.
- In the women's 1 mile run, freshman Natalia Cuttler (Islip, N.Y.) placed seventh with a career-best time of 6:11.74.
- In the women's long jump sophomore Bianca Hiltz (Southwick, Mass) placed sixth with a 4.75m jump.
- In the men's 200m dash, freshman Diego Folgado (Gandia, Spain) won the 200-meter dash with a career-best time of 22.30.
- Folgado would place third in the men's 60m dash with a career-best time of 7.07
- In the men's 1 mile run, graduate student Njehan Phillips (Brooklyn, N.Y.) placed fourth with a time of 4:37.34.
- In the men's 500 dash freshman Andrew O'Gorman (Melville, N.Y.) placed sixth with a time of 1:09.21.
