STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – With the East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field championship just two weeks away, the Queens College men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in the Fastrack National Invite hosted in Staten Island, N.Y. at the Ocean Breeze Complex.
Fastrack National Invite Highlights
- In the Men's 60 Meters event, freshman Diego Folgado (Gandia, Spain) made his season debut and quickly made an impact as the Spain native recorded the Knights' best finish with a time of 7.16.
- While Albert Wheeler (Mastic, N.Y.) recorded a season-best time of 7.83 in the 60-Meters event.
- In the 200-meter event, Folgado continued his career day as he finished with a time of 22.82 (Knights best time of the season).
- Freshman Andrew O'Gorman (Melville, N.Y.) recorded a career-best time of 54.12 in the 400 meters event.
- While graduated student Njehan Phillips (Brooklyn, N.Y.) put forth his best time of the season in the 800 meters (2:08.05) and mile run (4:39.21).
- In the women's 60-meter, freshman Khareena Primus (St. Andrew, Grenada) made her season debut and notched the second-fastest time of the season with a time of 8.34.
- In the 200 meters event, Prims would best teammate freshman Olutoyosi Ajanlekoko (Queens, N.Y.) time 27.72 as Prims completed the event with a time of 27.65.
- In the 800 Meter event, freshman Nicole Colombi (Wantagh, N.Y.) recorded a career-best time of 2:45.35.
- While in the one-mile run freshman Natalia Cuttler (Islip, N.Y.) notched a career-best time of 6:13.38, besting her previous best time of 6:31.68.
- In the field event thrower Amanda Joseph (Queens Village, N.Y.) recorded the Knights' second best of the season with a throw of 8.29m in the shot put event.
UP NEXT: On Saturday (Feb. 19) the Knights return to West Point, N.Y. as they get set to compete in the West Point Tune-up, a final preparation before the ECC Championship.
