FLUSHING, N.Y. – East Coast Conference play opens in Upstate, New York as the Queens College men's basketball continues their three-game road stand. Conference play begins with the Saints of D'Youville University Friday (Dec. 2) evening before the trip concludes against the Wildcats of Daemen University on Sunday (Dec. 4) afternoon. 
 
Scouting the Knights

• The Knights are 3-3 in their first six games of the season and are coming off a 1-1 week as they defeated Alliance Wednesday (Nov. 23) evening before falling short against AIC on Sunday (Nov. 27) afternoon. 
• Queens is averaging 69.7 points per game on 43.5% shooting and are averaging 38.3 rebounds and 12.8 assists per game. 
• Sophomore Sunnie Diamond (Hiram, GA) leads the offense averaging 14.2 PPG, and recorded a career-high 17 points against Pace. Diamond recorded the Knights first triple-double of the season in the victory over Alliance and the first triple-double since the 15-16 season. 
• While senior William Ellis (Valley Stream, N.Y.) is averaging 12.3 points per game and recorded a season-high 22 points in the victory over Holy Family.
• On Monday (Nov. 28), The East Coast Conference office awarded Diamond a honor roll spot on the third Men's Basketball Weekly Report of the Year. Link
  • Diamond has earned a spot on the ECC Honor Roll Sheet twice this season. 
• The Knights are 2-0 against the Saints having swept the season series last season with a 78-64 victory in Buffalo on January 14 and completed the series in Flushing with a 63-56 victory on February 24. 
• While against the Wildcats, Queens is 2-16 overall and are looking for their first win over Daemen since February 28, 2016. The Knights are 0-9 in Amherst and will be looking to end that losing streak Sunday afternoon.

• Will Kondrat leads the offense averaging 15.0 points per game on 39.6% shooting and recorded a season-high 21 points against St. Michael's on November 25.

Scouting the Wildcats

• In the recent D2SIDA poll, Daemen is ranked #5 in the East Region. 
• They are averaging 68.6 points per game on 42.2% shooting and are averaging 35.6 rebounds and 12.6 assists per game. 
• Nick MacDonald leads the offense averaging 16.4 points per game and tallied a season-high 20 points in the loss to Slippery Rock.
