FLUSHING, N.Y. – As the Queens College men's and women's basketball teams continue their respective schedules away from Fitzgerald Gymnasium, East Coast Conference play opens in Buffalo beginning on Friday (Dec. 2) evening.

Men's basketball went 1-1 on the week as sophomore
Sunnie Diamond (Hiram, GA) led the offense as he posted his first career triple-double in the victory over Alliance. Diamond stole the show as the sophomore notched 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in the comeback victory over Alliance Wednesday evening. Diamond posted the first triple-double by a Knight since the 15-16 season
Women's basketball 2-1 on the week as freshman
Cecilia Lapertosa (
Whitesboro, N.Y.) led the offense posting two double-doubles on the week in victories over Bloomfield and Alliance. Lapertosa continues to shine in her rookie campaign as she posted two double-doubles in the Knights 2-1 week. The rookie began the week posting career-highs of 18 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists in the 74-60 victory over Bloomfield. She ended the week with a team-high 17 points, 10 rebounds, and career-high five steals in the 68-54 over Alliance.
