FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Tuesday (No. 15) morning, The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) announced the 2022 All-East Region Teams. Queens College men's soccer sophomore midfielder
Adolfo Martinez Paquet (Sevilla, Spain) earned All-East Region First Team honors.
The sophomore becomes the Knight student-athlete to earn D2CAA honors since the 2015 season when Aitor Gurruchaga earned First Team honors.
Having earned First-Team honors, Paquet is now eligible for the All-American ballot.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies, and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
Adolfo Martinez Paquet | Sevilla, Spain | Sophomore | Midfield
Paquet put forth one of the best seasons in program history as the sophomore started all 20 games as he recorded 11 goals, and two assists for a team-high 24 points with seven game-winning goals.
The 11 goals are the most in a single season since Danny Stoker recorded 11 in 2012 giving Paquet a tie for second place in the program record book. The 24 points are the third highest in a single season, while the seven game-winner gives Paquet the sole possession and the single-season program record for most game-winners.
On the season, Paquet saw his name called six times on the men's soccer weekly award earning Offensive Player of the Week on two occasions (Sept. 19 & Oct. 17), while earning a Honor Roll spot four times.
