FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Tuesday (Oct. 4) evening, the Queens College volleyball team continues East Coast Conference play as the Knights welcome the Lions of Molloy University to Flushing.

Molloy University Series History
  • Record: 28-19
  • Last Matchup: November 13, 2021 (L 0-3) Current Streak: L10
  • It will be the 48th meeting between both sides with Queens leading the overall series 28-19.
  • The Knights are looking for their first win over the Lions since the 2015 season as they look to end a 10-game losing streak.  
  • Since 2001, the Knights are 8-9 in Flushing. 
Queens College
  • The Knights are 6-10 overall, and 1-2 in conference play. 
  • They are coming off a 3-1 loss to Mercy Saturday afternoon. 
  • Rookie Kendall Conrad (Carrolltown, PA) leads the offense having tallied 138 kills averaging 2.42 kills per set. 
  • While senior Alexis Deodat (Tampa Bay, Fl) has tallied 136 kills averaging 2.39 kills per set with 10 service aces and 36 total blocks on the season.
  • Sophomore Christina Franco (Lynbrook, N.Y.) is averaging 2.64 kills per set with 119 on the season with six double-doubles.  
  • On Monday (Oct. 3) Franco was named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll sheet for the fourth time this season. (Link)
    • She has been named on the Honor Roll Sheet (8/29, 9/12), while being Player of the Week on Sept. 19. 
  • Queens has been tabbed to finish fourth in the ECC Coaches Preseason Poll. 
Molloy
  • Molloy enters Queens with an 8-7 overall record, 2-1 in conference. They are coming off a 3-0 victory against Mercy last Wednesday (9/28) in Rockville Centre. 
  • Kiarra Roth leads the offense having tallied 113 kills averaging 2.76 kills per set. 
  • While Kathleen Doherty has tallied 93 kills averaging 1.90 kills per set and 25 service aces. 
  • Molloy has been tabbed to finish third in the ECC Preseason Poll. 
UP NEXT: The homestand continues on Friday (Oct. 7) evening as head coach Stefan Leger and the Knights host Le Moyne College Dolphins in non-conference action. The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
