M/W Tack & Field Teams Compete in Great Dane Classic

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Queens College men's and women's indoor track and field teams concluded the month of January as they competed in the Great Dane Classic hosted by the University of Albany at the Ocean Breeze Complex. 
 
Great Dane Classic Highlights
  • In the Men's 60 Meters event, freshman Andrew O'Gorman (Melville, N.Y.) recorded a career-best time of 7.61, beating his previous best time of 7.66. 
  • In the 200-meter freshman Valeriy Borkun (White Plains, N.Y.) recorded a career-best time of 24.47 as he overtook his previous time of 26.04. 
  • In the 5000 meters, junior Steven Cuascut (Queens, N.Y.) bested his career-high time of 17:37.57 as he put forth his time on Friday finishing 16:24.11. 
  • While Robert Skidmore (East Islip, N.Y.) continued to record a season-best as he marked a distance throw of 10.82m in the weight throw. 
  • Competing in the women's 400 Meters for the first time, freshman Fatima Morrobel (Long Beach, N.Y.) recorded a time of 1:05.79.
  • Freshman Natalia Cuttler (Islip, N.Y.) competed in the Mile event and finished with a time of 6:31.68. 
  • In the Women's Weight Throw sophomore Amanda Joseph (Queens Village, N.Y.)  recorded a career-best throw of 11.13m besting her previous high of 10.67m. 
 
UP NEXT: The Knights will have three weeks off before they return to action in the West Point Tune-Up hosted by Army West Post in West Point, New York on Saturday (Feb. 19).
