STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Queens College men's and women's indoor track and field teams continued their preparations for the East Coast Conference championship as they took part in the 2022 Spartan Invite hosted by fellow conference St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans at Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, New York.
The Knights went up against fellow Division II Schools such as the Spartans, Molloy College, Adelphi University East Stroudsburg University, and Division I schools in Rider University, Lafayette College, and more.
2022 Spartan Invite Highlights
- In the Men's 200 Meter, freshman Andrew O'Gorman (Melville, N.Y.) recorded a career-high time of 24.14.
- O'Gorman would continue his career day by recording a season-best of 1:11.60 in the 500 Meters.
- In the Men's Weight Throw junior Robert Skidmore (East Islip, N.Y.) recorded a throw of 10.02 meters.
- In the Women's 400 Meters, sophomore Bianca Hiltz (Southwick, Mass) placed 10th with a time of 1:04.21.
- Hiltz placed 13th in the Women's 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 10.59.
- In the Women's 800 Meter Fatima Morrobel (Long Beach, N.Y.) had a career day putting forth a season-best time of 2:30.64.
- In the Women's Weight Throw Zae Jackson (Queens, N.Y.) recorded a season-best throw of 8.49m.
UP NEXT: The Knights will have a month off before they return to action in the West Point Tune-Up hosted by Army West Post in West Point, New York on Saturday (Feb. 19).
