TIP-OFF! Women’s Basketball Releases 2021-2022 Schedule

FLUSHING, N.Y. – It has been a long time coming but after 627 days, the Queens College women's basketball team will return to action. 
 
The first step to returning starts with the release of the full 2021-22 schedule which features a full slate of 26 regular-season games, including an 18-game East Coast Conference slate. 
 
The Knights will host 14 games inside Fitzgerald Gymnasium starting with the annual CACC/ECC Conference Challenge to begin the season. 
 
"We are all very excited to get back on the court this season. The team's energy and spirit is very high. They are working hard and quickly developing chemistry."  Head coach Elizabeth Naumovski said, "With a young squad and a lot of new faces, non-conference play will be important in helping us hit our stride."
 
Nonconference Portion
The non-conference slate includes five home games and three road games. The Knights tip-off their 2021-2022 campaign in Flushing for the time since the 2012-2013 season as they host Thomas Jefferson University Rams and Chestnut Hill College Griffins on Nov. 13 & 14. 
 
The first road test comes on Nov. 20 with a trip to Waterbury, Connecticut against the Post University Eagles. The Knights will then open a three-game homestand in Flushing against Felician University Golden Falcons (Nov. 23), Franklin Pierce University Ravens (Nov. 27), and American International College Yellow Jackets (Dec. 1). 
 
Queens will be tested in mid-December as they go up against Stonehill College Skyhawks on Dec. 18 in North Easton, Massachusetts. The non-conference portion of the schedule concludes on Dec. 30 with a trip to Jersey City, New Jersey as they go up against the Warriors of Nyack College.
 
East Coast Conference Play
ECC plays begins on Dec. 8 as fellow CUNY member and ECC newcomer College of Staten Island Dolphins come to Flushing before heading to the nation's capital with a matchup against the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds (Dec 11). The Molloy College Lions come to town on Dec. 15 as the 2021 ECC portion comes to a close.
 
The new year will see the Knights play five road games in the first month while hosting two games in Flushing. January 2022 starts with a trip to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. with a matchup against Mercy College Mavericks (Jan. 5) before welcoming the Spartans of St. Thomas College (Jan. 8). 
 
Queens will head to Western New York as they go up against another ECC newcomer D'Youville College Saints (Jan. 14) and 2020-21 NCAA East Region champions Daemen College Wildcats (Jan. 16). 
 
Following a trip upstate, the Knights will welcome 2020-2021 ECC Champions Roberts Wesleyan College (Jan. 21). January will end with back to back road game as they go up against the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights (Jan. 23) in Bridgeport, Connecticut and the Lions in Rockville Centre, N.Y. on Jan. 29. 
 
The month of February begins with a trip to Staten Island, N.Y. with a match-up against the Dolphins (Feb. 2). A two-game homestand opens with the visiting Firebirds (Feb. 5) and a midweek matchup against the Mavericks (Feb. 9). 
 
The Knights will close out the road portion of their regular-season schedule with trips to Sparkill, N.Y against the Spartans (Feb. 12) and Rochester, N.Y. as they go up against the Redhawks (Feb. 16) for a midweek matchup. 
 
Coach Naumovksi and her squad conclude the regular-season slate with three straight home games as they welcome the Purple Knights (Feb. 20), Saints (Feb. 24), and Wildcats (Feb. 26).

All home games will be live-streamed on the QC Sports Network and ECC Network and fans can follow along on live stats.
 
A season preview with a roster outlook will be released in early November.
