FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team homestand continues as Franklin Pierce comes to town for a non-conference matchup Saturday (Nov. 27) afternoon. It will be the seventh meeting between the programs dating back to the 90-91 season. Both sides first met during the 90-01 season which saw the Ravens start a three-game winning streak. But the Knights have won the last three meetings including taking a 73-66 overtime win in their last meeting.

Beth Bonin scored 24 points and Taliyah Hopkins had 22 points, including six in overtime as the Knights fought back from a double-digit deficit to knock off the Ravens to the final score of 73-66 in Flushing.

Queens suffered their straight close loss as they fell 87-84 to Felician University Tuesday evening. On Monday (Nov. 22) junior
Khadija Demry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) earned her second straight East Coast Conference honor roll honor following a career-high 24 points, four assists, and three rebounds effort against Post.
As a team the Knights are averaging 67.0 points on 42 percent shooting, 41.8 rebounds, and 15.3 assists per game.
In four games Demry is averaging 37.8 minutes per game, with 17.0 points per game, on 40.6 percent shooting, 3.7 rebounds per game, and 2.3 assists per game. Freshman
Jennah DeGout (Bronx, N.Y.) has tallied 13 or more rebounds in the past two games to lead the Knights with a team-high average of 9.8 rebounds per game.
Scouting Franklin Pierce University
The Ravens are 4-2 on the season and come to Flushing having ended a two-game losing streak with a 86-69 win over Assumption.
As a team they average 73.7 points per game on 41.7 percent shooting while averaging 40.5 rebounds per game. Emma Carter leads the Ravens on the offense averaging 21.5 points per game having tallied six straight games in double digits. Carter notched 20+ plus on four occasions including a season-high 29 points against Dominican College.
