FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Philadelphia, PA for their lone non-conference game on the road. The Knights (1-0 overall) will face up against Holy Family University Tigers (1-2 overall). The two sides have faced each other twice with the Tigers winning both meetings.

In the high-scoring affair, Queens was led by Elijah Bovell who scored 31 points, while three other Knights scored in double figures. The Knights won the rebound battle with a 40-27 margin but were hurt by 18 turnovers.
Scouting Queens College
Queens opened the season with an 83-78 victory over Felician University at Fitzgerald Gymnasium. Freshman
Shamar Chester led the Knights with 20 points and six rebounds, while
Eddie Mehmetaj (Jamaica, N.Y.) tallied 14 points, 11 rebounds, six assists.
Queens shot 50.8 percent (33-of-65) from the field and 25.0 percent (4-of-16) from three. While Felician shot 42.9 percent (27-of-63) from the field and 25.0 percent (4-of-16) from beyond the arc. Queens won the rebounds battle with a 46-29 margin.
Chester was awarded ECC Rookie of the Week honors for his effort by Mehmetaj earned a honor roll spot in the first weekly award sheet of the season.
Scouting Holy Family
Holy Family is on a two-game losing streak having lost back-to-back games to American International College and Lincoln University (Pa.) after opening the season with a victory. The Tigers are scoring 71.0 points per game shooting .37 percent from the field while committing 11.3 turnovers per game. After opening the season shooting 53 percent from the field, the Tigers have been held to 29 percent shooting in their two losses.
The offense is led by Kharon Randolph and Manny Toha who are averaging 17.7 points per game and shooting over 40 percent from the field. Randolph has tallied two 20 points games this season including 24 points in the win over Franklin Pierce. Toha notched 30 points on 12-of-19 shooting against Franklin Pierce.
