FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Queens College volleyball team hosts their lone non-conference game of the month as the College of Saint Rose Golden Knights come to town. 
 
Dating back to 1994, the Knights lead the overall series 5-2. The Knights' last win against the Golden Knights came on September 13, 2008, as Queens won a four-setter in Old Westbury 3-1.

The Knights went up against the Golden Knights in Albany but fell 3-0 on Saturday (Sept. 15). Leeks Hollis led Queens (0-9) with six kills, Briana Green added five kills, two service aces, and two total blocks and Lauren Kehoe scored four kills and six digs for the Knights. Alisha Matthews dished out 15 assists and Dee-Ana Mitchell posted a team-high 14 digs. Vanessa Juengerkes contributed three assists and four digs in the effort.
 
Scouting Queens College Knights
 
The Knights are 3-12 overall and with one of their win coming in non-conference play as they defeated Caldwell University Cougars 3-1 back on Sept. 7. Freshman Christina Franco (Lynbrook, N.Y.) notched a career-best 16 kills and 26 digs for her second double-double of the season in the win. On the season Queens has tallied 450 kills as they average 8.7 kills per set but only hitting .094%. Led by sophomore Leila Hadjeb (Queens, N.Y.) team-high 23 service aces, the Knights are averaging 1.6 service aces per set. 
 
Scouting College of Saint Rose
 
Saint Rose comes to Queens with a 6-13 overall record and hold a 2-3 against East Coast Conference schools this season. As a team they are averaging 9.5 kills per set led by Cassidy Smith and Karleigh Fripp who have tallied for a combined 217 kills on the season. The Golden Knights are averaging 2.0 blocks per set having combined for 204 assists. 
 
Next Match-up: The Knights return to conference play as they go up against Daemen College Friday (Oct. 22) evening in Buffalo, N.Y. First serve set up 6 p.m.
