PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 4, 2020) - The trip to Pace University started off well for the Queens College baseball team as
Jon Strauss clobbered a first-inning home run to put the Knights ahead by a 1-0 score versus Pace on Wednesday (Mar. 4). Unfortunately, the rest of the game did not unfold in the same manner as the host Setters won a 25-9 contest at Peter Finnerty Field.
Strauss was one of four Knights players in the contest with two hits on the day and he drove in a team-high two runs on the afternoon.
Colin Diez,
Teovaldo Estevez and
Jayson Rodopoulos drove in a run each and also added two hits in the effort.
Louis Antos and
Eric Roubal also had run-scoring base hits for Queens in the contest.
The Knights return to action on Saturday (Mar. 7) with a 1 p.m. home game versus Southern Connecticut State at Hennekens Stadium.
