FLUSHING, N.Y. (July 19, 2019) - The East Coast Conference announced on Thursday (July 18) the names of the student-athletes across the league that were named to the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2018-2019 academic year. Queens College was deemed to have 72 athletes of the record-shattering 1,406 named to this designation.
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is awarded to student-athletes who receive a 3.25 or better cumulative grade-point average. This annual recognition, in addition to Scholar-Athlete awards, helps to uphold the East Coast Conference's mission of promoting the total person and the ability to excel not only in the athletic arena but also in the classroom.
"We are very proud to announce this group of Commissioner's Honor Roll recipients and especially pleased that the list continues to expand each year," stated ECC Commissioner Dr. Robert Dranoff. "We hope that participating in the East Coast Conference and NCAA Division II will always provide a positive experience for our student-athletes in their sport, in the community, and of course in the classroom. Congratulations to all our honorees!"
