FLUSHING, N.Y. (Mar. 6, 2019) - The Queens College baseball team surrendered seven runs in the first two innings and fell to Felician by an 11-4 score on Tuesday (Mar. 5) in the Knights' second game of the week in Lake Worth, Fla.
The Golden Falcons (2-6) touched up QC (2-2-1) starter
Dennis Buckstein with three two-RBI hits in the opening two frames to take the 7-0 lead on the Knights. Queens scored a run in the fifth on an RBI hit by
Jon Strauss and the Knights tacked on three more runs in the ninth but could not close the gap against their regional opponent.
Joe O'Rourke went 3-for-5 with an RBI but Queens mustered just five hits in total on offense. Buckstein took the loss as he did not pitch past the second inning;
John Rodopoulos closed out the game with three-and-a-third innings of one-run ball, striking out three Felician batters.
The Knights are back in action on Wednesday (Mar. 6) at 1 p.m. against Stonehill College in another game played at the Santaluces Athletic Complex in Lake Worth.
