FLUSHING, N.Y. (Mar. 23, 2019) - The Queens College women's lacrosse team allowed eleven straight goals to Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday (Mar. 23) as the Penmen claimed a 16-3 win over the Knights in a non-conference battle in Flushing.
Sarah Koehler scored two goals for the Knights (1-6) and
Patriece Ausili had QC's first marker on the afternoon, but SNHU (3-4) proved to have too much offense in the contest.
Jess Serpe made five saves in the cage for Queens and picked up four ground balls, which was tied for the team-high in that statistic along with
Lauren Hilke. Ausili won three draw controls and caused three turnovers, while
Catherine Monteleone caused two turnovers as well.
Kristin Wilder led the Penmen with four goals and five total points while Merry Harrington added two goals and three assists. Kelsey Long contributed a hat trick with an assist for Southern New Hampshire, as well.
Queens will continue its home-stand on Tuesday (Mar. 26) with a 3 p.m. contest against East Coast Conference foe Mercy College at Knights Field.
