Jess Serpe made 13 saves on Wednesday (Mar. 20) but the Queens College women's lacrosse team fell to Jefferson University by a score of 18-3 at Knights Field.
Queens (1-5) went down by a 13-0 score at the half and were out-shot by the Rams (1-3) by a 29-2 count through the opening thirty minutes of play. Only in the second half did the Knights drum up some offense as
Lauren Gentile,
Chloe Herzog and
Sarah Koehler all scored markers towards the end of the contest.
Serpe also picked up a team-high three ground balls in the effort while Herzog caused a team-best two turnovers.
Nicole Cutrone won four draw controls for the Knights in the loss and
Patriece Ausili took two victories in the draw circle as well.
Queens will host Southern New Hampshire on Saturday (Mar. 23) at Knights Field with the action commencing at 1 p.m.
