ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Mar. 16, 2019) - The Queens College women's lacrosse team could not get into gear on Saturday (Mar. 16), losing a 21-3 contest to Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester as the Knights dropped to 0-4 on the season and 0-1 in East Coast Conference play.
Sarah Koehler led the Knights with two goals and
Chloe Herzog added one for Queens, with all three markers coming as unassisted tallies. Koehler also won five draw controls as did
Rebecca Gibble, while
Patriece Ausili brought in a team-best six draws on the day.
Lauren Hilke scooped up a team-high four ground balls and Jess Serpe posted an eight-save effort.
The Redhawks (9-1, 2-0 ECC) scored the first five goals of the contest before Herzog's marker put the Knights on the board eight minutes into the opening half. It would be almost a full twenty minutes before Koehler put home her first of the game; unfortunately, the Redhawks led 12-2 at that point and 13-3 at the half before scoring eight times to rack up the final score.
Queens returns home for a Monday (Mar. 18) showcase with Holy Family University at 3 p.m.
