NORTH EASTON, Mass. (Feb. 24, 2019) - Despite an 11-save performance from Jess Serpe in cage, the Queens College women's lacrosse team was overpowered on offense by Stonehill on Sunday (Feb. 24). The Knights dropped a 21-2 decision against the Skyhawks at W.B. Mason Stadium in North Easton, Mass.
Chloe Herzog scored her first career collegiate goal in the opening half of the contest to get Queens on the board and
Patriece Ausili added her first goal of the season towards the end of the second half. That, however, was all the offense the Knights would collect as Stonehill peppered the cage with the first nine goals of the contest. Kendall Fressle had six goals for the Skyhawks in the victory.
Ausili won two draw controls as did
Lauren Gentile, with
Rebecca Gibble collecting a team-high three ground balls.
Queens will play its first home contest of the season on Saturday (Mar. 2) at 1 p.m. against Holy Family.
