Box Score Manchester, (N.H.): Despite a 17-point performance from junior forward David Grady III, the Queens College men's basketball team was unable to rally in the second half falling 84-74 to Southern New Hampshire University Saturday afternoon at Stan Spirou Field House.

Queens took an early 12-8 lead behind a Tyrese Crosdale three-pointer as both sides traded leads in the first half. The knights took a 39-38 after an Elijah Bovell layup before two turnovers led to five points for the Penmen. The Knights were led by Bovell's 13-points in the first half but trailed 43-39 at halftime. The Penmen went on a 9-2 run (53-41) to start the second half forcing a Knights timeout. A Kevin Buron layup stopped the bleeding with Queens looking to get back into the game but turnovers and foul trouble plagued the Knights in the comeback attempt.

Buron scored a season-high 15-points, while Eddie Mehmetaj notched a near double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds in the loss. The knights shot 51.7% from the field, but 14 committed turnovers by the Knights turned into 23 points for the Penmen. The Knights moved to 1-8 on the season, while the Penmen improved to 7-2.

UP NEXT: The Knights kick-off East Coast Conference play as they welcome New York Tech Wednesday (12.11.19) evening. Tip-off slated for 7:30 PM.
