FLUSHING, N.Y. (Nov. 3, 2019) - Senior
Lauren Kehoe led all players with 15 kills on Sunday (Nov. 3) but the Queens College volleyball team was unable to capitalize on a two-sets-to-one lead and fell to Roberts Wesleyan in an East Coast Conference five-setter at Fitzgerald Gymnasium. The Redhawks won the match by scores of 25-20, 22-25, 24-26, 25-16 and 15-8.
Roberts Wesleyan improved to 2-20 on the season and 2-6 in ECC action while Queens fell to 2-16 and 0-8 in league play.
Knights That Shined
- Kehoe's performance is her third double-digit kill outing of the season and her twelfth career ten-plus kill showing. The senior also recorded a double-double with 13 digs.
- Genesis Soto also had one of her best matches in a Knights uniform thus far; the sophomore transfer from The College of New Rochelle had eight kills and a .222 hitting percentage to go along with 14 digs and three service aces.
- Jessica Yin added six kills and the Knights also had a five-kill showing from senior Maryjane D'Agostino. The two combined for 13 digs.
- Alisha Matthews dished out 29 assists to go along with nine digs, three service aces and two kills.
