FLUSHING, N.Y. (Nov. 20, 2019) - The Queens College men's basketball team was unable to climb out of a 16-point halftime deficit on Wednesday night (Nov. 20), falling to the Owls of Southern Connecticut by a final score of 75-60 at Fitzgerald Gymnasium. The game was the final contest in a three-game home-stand for the Knights, who are now 0-5 on the season.
Junior guard
Elijah Bovell had a game-high 22 points for Queens on a night in which he shot 10-for-21 from the floor and pulled down seven rebounds. Meanwhile,
Tyrese Crosdale and
David Grady III each chipped in 10 points as the Knights hit 26-of-66 (39.4%) from the floor in the contest.
Shomari Redd added six points, five rebounds and three assists in the effort for the Knights.
Taurus Adams II led Southern Connecticut (2-2) with 17 points and 11 rebounds and Isaiah Boissard added 10 points and 12 boards for the Owls in the win. Three other SCSU players scored ten-plus points in the contest including Khalil Richard, who had ten off the bench, and C.J. Seaforth (13 points, five assists).
The Queens College men's basketball team hits the road on Sunday (Nov. 24) for a 2 p.m. showcase against Nyack College at Bowman Gymnasium in Nyack, N.Y.
