FLUSHING, N.Y. (Nov. 16, 2019) - The Queens College volleyball team concluded its regular season on Saturday (Nov. 16) with a match against Mercy College at Fitzgerald Gymnasium. The Knights honored their three graduating senior members before falling to the Mavericks by a three-set count of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-14.
Queens concludes the season with a 2-19 record and an 0-10 mark in conference play. Mercy wraps up the regular season with a 14-17 record and a 5-5 record in the East Coast Conference.
Knights That Shined
- Lauren Kehoe starred for the Knights in her swan song contest with the squad. The senior outside hitter had eight kills and 12 digs to go along with a service ace. Maryjane D'Agostino also recorded a kill to go along with two digs while Jessica Yin added a dig. All three were honored pre-game as the members of the graduating class.
- Briana Green led QC with nine kills on the afternoon, hitting an impressive .500 on the day. Angie Nicholes sported a four-kill, five-dig effort and Alisha Matthews dished out 25 assists to go along with seven digs.
