Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Oct. 4, 2019) - The Queens College volleyball team took the first two sets from ECC foe Roberts Wesleyan on Friday (Oct. 4) in Rochester before the Redhawks won a close third set and then ran away with the final two games to win a five-set affair at the Voller Athletic Center. Set scores favored the Redhawks by a final count of 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 14-25 and 4-15.

With the win, Roberts improved to 1-13 on the season and 1-1 in East Coast Conference play. Queens fell to 1-9 on the year and 0-2 in league competition.

Knights That Shined

• Dee-Ana Mitchell and Briana Green led Queens with six kills apiece as the latter posted a .357 hitting percentage in the five-set contest. Mitchell also contributed six digs on the night.
• The Knights were paced by an all-around performance from Genesis Soto Ruiz, as the native of Puerto Rico had a team-high eleven digs to go along with five kills and three service aces.
• Adding to the Knights' fine statistics was freshman middle blocker Alexis Deodat. The native of Riverview, Fla. had four kills, five digs and six total blocks (two solo, four block assists). Meanwhile, Alisha Matthews added 18 assists, seven digs, three blocks and two aces and libero Danielle Naggar posted nine digs in the match.
