FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Queens College women's tennis team, missing its #1 singles player and #1 doubles player fought hard, but lost to D1 Fordham 7-0. Played D1 rules, the Knights picked up a 6-1 victory at 2nd doubles with Andrea Samson and Frederike Boerner, but were outscored in the other two matches allowing the Rams to capture the doubles point. Samson, ranked #8 in the East in singles, played #1 against Mayu Sato and lost in three tough sets. Angelika Sobiecka had to move up to the #2 position for the match and also lost in three challenging sets. The rest of the team kept the match very close, playing great tennis.
