QUEENS, N.Y. - The Queens College women's tennis team remained unbeaten with an 8-1 victory over Robert Wesleyan Sunday afternoon at home.
Sumeera Kamil (1st), Andrea Samson (2nd), Angelika Sobiecka (3rd), Cami Abdallah (4th) and Frederike Börner (5th) all won their singles matches in straight sets. Impressively, the five players lost just six games combined, with Samson and Sobiecka each winning 6-0, 6-0. Nakia Miller fell in 6th singles by a score of 3-6, 6-0, 6-10.
In doubles, Samson and Kamil won 8-0 in 1st doubles, while Sobiecka and Abdallah won 8-2 in 2nd doubles. In 3rd doubles, Anne Strating and Line Sorsdahl Aasen won 9-8, 9-7 in a tiebreaker.
The Knights are back in action, Friday, Oct. 2 against NYIT.
