Men's Soccer Stopped By LIU Post, 2-0

QUEENS, N.Y. - The Queens College men's soccer team fell to LIU Post 2-0 Saturday afternoon in East Coast Conference action.  The Knights and Pioneers played to a scoreless first half, with Queens attempting four shots in the frame.

During an even second half, LIU broke the scoreless tie in the 82nd minute when Johann Kristjansson beat Queens goalkeeper James Brostowski to a loose ball and tapped in the game's first goal.  The Pioneers added to the advantage in the 89th minute when Charlie Ledula found the left-side netting to double the Pioneers' lead.

LIU Post held a 13-7 advanrage in shots, and 8-3 margin in corner kicks.  Junior James Brostowski made two saves for QC, while Kevin LaBarbera made two stops for the Pioneers.

The Knights are back in action Saturday, Oct. 3 at St. Thomas Aquinas.
