Flushing, N.Y. - The #33 ranked Queens College women's tennis team lost a non-conference non-regional match to ASA College, the #1 junior college team in the country.
Queens played some very challenging doubles at the #2 and #3 positions before losing 8-5 and 9-7. Aylin Mehter was the only winner for Queens beating Tyler Smith at #3 singles 6-1, 6-4. Queens' record dropped to 15-4.
Queens used ASA as a warm up for what could be its 15th straight NCAA Championship appearance. The team, currently ranked 3rd in the East Region, is nearly assured of an invitation to the post-season tournament.
