Philadelphia - The #32 Queens College women's tennis team closed out its regular season with an 8-1 thrashing of #48 Chestnut Hill in a tennis match played in Philadelphia on Saturday.  Andrea Samson dropped just two match in her straight sets win.

In singles play, every Knights player won their match except Kim Xiong, who took the first set in sixth singles.  Aylin Mehter won 6-1, 6-2.  Yevgenia "Jenna" Plevako triumphed one and love.  Jennifer Fridman won in three sets and Anna Rodionova won 6-1, 6-3.

The Knights swept doubles play with Fridman and Plevako winning, 8-1. Mehter and Samson win 8-5 and Rodionova and Xiong won 11-8.

The team improved to 18-4 with the win and are ranked second regionally. The Griffins are 17-9 and fourth in the region.
