Queens, N.Y. - The Queens College women's
tennis team continued its hot play on Saturday with a 9-0 blanking
of Philadelphia University, in a match played in Queens, New
York. With the victory, the Knights improved to 15-1, and the
squad is now ranked second in the East region and 36th
nationally.
The Number one player and captain for the Knights, Erika
Goldsmith missed the match due to an illness, and thus forced her
teammates to all move up one slot for the competition.

because the tennis bubble was in use by the men.
All six competitors in singles play were victorious as Francesca
Fanchin, Andrea Samson, Jenn Fridman, Anna Rodionova, Daniela Celi
and Darby Brandon all won their matches. The girls also
formed up to record wins in their doubles flights as well.
The team returns to action on Sunday, April 7, when they face
Goldey-Beacom, the 5th ranked team in the east.
That match is set for 12, noon.
