Flushing, N.Y. (September 6, 2012)- The Knights women's tennis team goes to 2-0 in their 2012-2013 season after defeating the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans 9-0.
Freshmen Andrea Samson and Darby Brandon and transfer Jennifer Fridman all won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. Also in singles, sophomore Kim Xiong beat Jill Duke 4-6, 6-1, 10-3 in a super tie breaker. On the doubles side, senior Erika Goldsmith and Fridman teamed up for an 8-0 victory.
Head Coach Alan Nagel's Knights will participate in this weekend's Sienna Fall Classic in Schenectady, N.Y. on Saturday, September 8th and Sunday, September 9th.
