The defending East Coast Conference Champion Queens College Knights Women's Tennis team began their regular season and conference schedules with a 9-0 blanking of St. Thomas Aquinas College on Tuesday in Flushing.

Pre-Season ECC Player of the Year selection Laura Mocodeanu and Maria Medes each posted 6-0, 6-0 wins at #1 and #3 singles, respectively. The duo also combined for an 8-1 victory at second doubles. Andrea Salvetora also made an impressive QC debut with a 6-1, 6-1 win at fifth singles and an 8-1 win, with Erika Goldsmith at her side, at first doubles.
