Women's Tennis

One step closer to a title

The Knights moved one step closer to another East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Championship by defeating C.W.. Post, 5-0, in a semifinal match played in Flushing on Thursday. QC moves on to face Molloy College tomorrow at 2:30 pm with the conference title and an automatic bid in the NCAA East Regionals at stake.

The top seeded Knights picked up two points before the contest even started when Morgam Mileisen was injured during warm-ups. Mileisen was unable to continue, forcing the Pioneers to default at third doubles and sixth singles. QC then prevailed at first and second doubles before Maria Perevezentseva clinched matters with a sraight sets win at fifth singles.
