Knights drop second straight 1-0 decision

This Sunday the Knights suffered their second consecutive 1-0 home loss, this time at the hands of St. Anslem College.

Nothing noteworthy transpired until a Danny Stoker goal was wiped out by an offsides call in the 26th minute. QC had another opportunity to jump out in front at the 31:29 mark on a free kick but Santiago Bedoya's attempt sailed wide right. Six minutes later, St. A's nearly took the lead but Bruno Dasilva's attempt from inside the box went wide. The Knights had one more chance before the break to score but Akinyode Dele misfired wide with a header at 40:29.

St. Anselm came on strong at the start of the second half, scoring the only goal of the game just 1:05 in. Keesen Howe sent Justin Colella in alone with a touch pass and Colella used his left foot to deposit the ball in the lower right hand corner of the cage to give the visitors from Manchester, New Hampshire the lead.

QC had a golden opportunity to deadlock the contest in the 61st minute. Metri Abdul-Karim's corner kick found Stoker in the box but Stoker's header rolled just wide of the right post and the game remained 1-0 in St. A's favor. Five more Knights' attempts the rest of the way failed to find the mark, sending QC to another 1-0 loss.
