Jonathan Blount

Jonathan Blount returns to the Queens College men’s basketball sideline for the 2025–26 season, marking his sixth overall season with the program. He previously served as an assistant coach for the Knights from 2015–2017 before spending time at St. Francis College, where he gained additional collegiate coaching experience.
 
Blount first joined the Queens staff in 2016–17, completing his inaugural season as an assistant coach under head coach Matt Collier. Before moving to the college ranks, he served as the assistant varsity coach at Queens High School of Teaching, overseeing game preparation, scheduling, scouting, recruiting, and player development.
 
In addition to his high school and college coaching experience, Blount has been active in grassroots basketball, working with St. Mary’s High School Basketball Camp, the New York Panthers AAU Club, and the Holy Cross High School Basketball Camp. He also serves as an assistant coach with the Wheelchair Charities High School Classic, one of New York City’s top high school all-star events.
 
A proud Queens College alumnus, Blount earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology in 2016.
