Queens College Athletics

Suzanne was named 2009 Outstanding Freshman for the QueensCollege Volleyball team as she averaged 1.36 kills, 1.93 digs and1.43 assists per game in 26 games. She twice had 10 kills in a game- versus Molloy on October 22nd and Nyack on October 29th - andranked fourth on the club with 117 kills. Her 166 digs were thirdon the team and she had nine or more on seven occasions, includinga season high 15 on September 19th against Merrimack College.

On November 2nd she was named ECC Rookie of the Week for herefforts in games against Nyack and Dowling. Byrne had 10 kills anda .450 kill percentage in a 3-0 win over Nyack last and had sevenkills, two blocks and a match high five aces in a loss at DowlingCollege

While at St. Patrick''s in Richmond, Canada, Suzanne was 2008British Columbia Most Valuable Player and was a BC Provincial firstteam all-star in 2007. In 2008 her team was league champion,British Columbia Provincial Champion, British Columbia CatholicSchool Champion and British Columbia Lower Mainland Champion.
