Before Queens: Bernadette was a four year starter for the Lynbrook High School women''s soccer team. She also was a member of the varsity winter track team for four years and the spring track team for five years, earning an all-County award in the process.

Bernadette has been a member of the Valley Stream Soccer Club, the Hicksville Soccer Club and Oceanside Power.
