Diego joins the Knights in 2010-11 from Cuceta, Colombia. Medrano was named player of the year twice in his hometown in 2006 and 2007 as well as earning two ATP points between the ''05-''06 seasons. Diego has also left his mark on the tournament circuit, competing in both the ITF juniors and ITF futures tournaments. He has also won several national tournaments including an ITF grade five tournament in doubles.

Medrano states he came to Queens because of the opportunity to be a student-athlete as well as showcasing his skills on the Collegiate level.
