Lamine Traore has been an assistant coach with the Queens College men's soccer team since 2017. Traore has spent the last six years as the Varsity Head Coach at Riverhead High School in Suffolk County, Long Island. During that time, he has coached and trained in SUSA Academy & Middle Country Soccer Club.  
Traore attended Dowling College on a soccer scholarship from 2006-2009, making the journey all the way from his home country of Mali in West Africa to soar to new heights in Division II athletics.
 
In his first season, Traore helped Dowling win the NCAA Division II National Championship. In 2008, He was the top goal-scorer in the country in Division II with 26 goals and was named Most Outstanding Player of the East Regional as he led the Golden Lions to the national championship game. Traore was named a Third-Team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and completed his career at Dowling with two East Coast Conference titles and a First-Team All-ECC honor.
