A champion of Division II soccer as well as a legend in the annals of Long Island professional soccer, Cordt Weinstein was tabbed as an assistant coach for the Queens College men's soccer program in 2018.

Weinstein comes to Queens College following a legendary coaching and playing career spanning 25 years. He led Southern Connecticut State University to Division II National Championships in 1990 and 1992. Weinstein then enjoyed an incredible career with the Long Island Rough Riders where he took that squad to national championships in 1995 and 2002. He also enjoyed stints with the New York Fever of the USL's A-League and a two-match cap with the New York/New Jersey MetroStars in the 2001 season. Weinstein is still recognized as the all-time leading goalscorer in the history of the Rough Riders.

Weinstein has coached over 25 years in the youth game, having run his own program and leading the Dix Hills youth soccer program. He won the NHSCHSAA National Championship in 1993 as an assistant coach for St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip and was elevated to their head coaching ranks in 2002.
