Queens College Athletics

Jonathan Samuel Blount completed his first season as assistant coach on the Queens College men’s basketball staff in 2016-17. Blount previously served as the assistant varsity basketball coach at Queens High School of Teaching. His duties included game preparation, scheduling, scouting, recruitment and training of players. Blount is also an assistant coach with the Wheelchair Charities High School Classic.

Blount has camping experience by working with St. Mary’s High School Basketball Camp, New York Panthers AAU Club and Holy Cross High School Basketball Camp.  Blount is an alumnus of Queens College receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology in 2016.

• 2014- Hoop Group Buzzer Beater Classic Finalists
• 2015-2016 PSAL Queens Borough Championship Finalist.
• 2015-2016 PSAL JV Basketball City Finalist.
• 2015-2016 EA Warrior Christmas Classic Champion, Columbus Ohio.
• February 16, 2016- Queens High School of Teaching ranked 4th in New York State (NYSWA).
• 2016-Adidas Gauntlet Atlanta Session Champion.
