Before Queens: Transferred from Suffolk County Community College, which he attended for one year after originally heading to Farmingdale State College... At Suffolk, he appeared in 30 games, recording a .324 batting average, 19 runs batted in and 20 runs during the 2014 season... While at Farmingdale he appeared in 33 games with 19 starts as a freshman, helping the Rams win their sixth straight conference championship... Was selected to the All-Regional Tournament team with the Rams... Graduated from William Floyd High School in Brookhaven, where he played varsity baseball for Glen Davis.

Personal: Son of Maria and Jorge... Uncle, Celcelio Sanchez, played on a minor league affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers... Favorite athletes are the Mets’ outfielder Michael Conforto, and Knicks star Carmelo Anthony... Enjoys playing music away from baseball... Go-to meal is pizza... Counts being his nephew’s godfather as his biggest accomplishment... Major is Accounting.
