Chris Reardon

Chris Reardon enters his 13th season as head coach of the Queens College baseball team and his 21st year overall as a collegiate coach in 2025. In addition to his coaching duties, Reardon serves as Assistant Facilities Coordinator.

Reardon has led Queens through one of the most successful stretches in program history, guiding the Knights to six ECC postseason appearances, one ECC Championship, and a total of 42 student-athletes earning All-ECC honors, 11 All-Region selections, and two All-American recognitions in program history.

On April 18, 2025, he earned his 400th career victory as a head coach. Later that season, Queens advanced to its third East Coast Conference (ECC) Finals appearance in four seasons. In 2024, he directed the Knights to their second consecutive 30-win season, the most regular-season victories in program history and a program-record eight Knights earned All-ECC honors breaking the record set in 2023.

The 2023 season marked a historic milestone for the program. Under Reardon’s leadership, the Knights finished with a program-best 34-19 overall record and captured the ECC Championship with a sweep of two-time defending champion Molloy University on May 13. The title ended a 25-year drought without both a conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. On May 19, the Knights secured the program’s first NCAA Tournament victory, defeating Felician University, 7-4. Queens earned a program-record seven ECC All-Conference selections during the 2023 campaign, including back-to-back Rookie of the Year honors, while also collecting a program-best three All-Region recognitions from the D2CCA, NCBWA, and ABCA/Rawlings.

In 2022, Reardon guided the Knights to a 26-17 overall record, their highest win total since 1998, and a 15-6 mark in ECC play, finishing second in the conference standings. Queens advanced to the ECC Championship for the first time since 1998. Six Knights earned All-Conference honors, highlighted by freshman Marc Cisco being named both ECC Rookie and Player of the Year. Reardon was selected as ECC Co-Coach of the Year. Cisco and Lou Antos earned All-Region recognition, with Cisco becoming the program’s first All-American since 1998 after ranking among the nation’s leaders with a .435 batting average.

During the shortened 2021 season, Reardon led Queens to its second consecutive ECC playoff appearance. The Knights finished 14-13 overall and 12-9 in conference play. Four players received All-ECC honors, including rookie Reed Hoskins, who led the team in multiple offensive categories. Hoskins became the first Knight to earn NCBWA All-Region honors and the first under Reardon since 2016 to receive D2CCA All-East Region recognition.

Reardon earned his 100th career victory at Queens during the 2019 season, as the Knights secured their first ECC Tournament berth in 21 seasons. Queens finished 25-24-1 overall, with five players earning All-ECC honors. Jon Strauss delivered a standout season, batting .358 while setting a program single-season record with seven triples. Louis Antos established a new single-season doubles record (22), and Dennis Buckstein set a program mark with 89 strikeouts.

Reardon returned to Queens College in August 2013 following successful coaching stints at Caldwell University, NJIT, and St. John’s University. A former Knights standout, Reardon helped lead Queens to a 29-9 record during the 1998 season and earned All-Conference honors.

Reardon began his collegiate coaching career at St. John’s University before serving eight seasons as head coach at Caldwell University, where he compiled 176 victories, captured two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships, and made three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Reardon graduated from Queens College in 1998 with a degree in History. He is married to his wife, Stephanie, and is the proud father of two daughters, Madison Faith and Remi Ann.
