Prior to Queens: Part of the LIU Post baseball team for four seasons, having played in two spring campaigns for the Pioneers ... hit .222 as a freshman and drove in six RBI as a senior while starting 14 career games and playing in 24 contests ... spent two seasons on the baseball team at St. John the Baptist and played one year of football for the Cougars ... was 2014 CHSAA champion and 2015 Catholic League Catcher of the Year.

Personal: Has one sister, Megan ... parents are Marianne and Ralph Dalton ... father, Ralph, played four years of baseball at Erskine College in South Carolina from 1982-86 and holds Flying Fleet records for most triples (10) in a season, highest batting average (.488) in a season and career batting average (.435) ... uncle, Jim Dalton, played baseball at New York Tech from 1980-84 and was a New York State All-Star and Gold Glove-winning shortstop in his senior season before being drafted in the 23rd round by the Minnesota Twins ... enjoys playing golf and wiffle ball along with riding his bicycle ... is an avid video game player, specifically on PlayStation 4 consoles ... has participated in community service events such as breast cancer walks ... hopes to become a baseball coach and work in sports upon graduation ... obtaining his master's degree in Urban Affairs.
