Queens Women’s Tennis Ready for New Chapter in CACC

FLUSHING, N.Y. – A new home for Queens College women's tennis gets underway this fall as the Knights have joined the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) as an associate member in the sport of women's tennis.
 
Led by 48th-year head coach Alan Nagel, the Knights will compete in the conference championship segment in the fall, playing a 12-match schedule featuring six home matches and six away contests.
 
Queens will open the season on the road Wednesday, Sept. 9, against Thomas Jefferson before hosting the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) in its home opener Saturday, Sept. 12.
 
The Knights will hit the road to Waterbury, Conn., to face Post on Sept. 15 before opening a two-match homestand against Jefferson on Sept. 17 and Wilmington on Sept. 19.
 
Queens will then hit the road for a pair of matches, facing St. Thomas Aquinas on Sept. 22 before traveling to Chestnut Hill on Sept. 23.
 
The Knights will close out September with a home matchup against Chestnut Hill on Sept. 25 and a road trip to Washington, D.C., to face UDC on Sept. 29.
 
October begins with a pair of home contests, as Queens hosts Post on Oct. 1 and St. Thomas Aquinas on Oct. 3. The Knights will then travel to Wilmington on Oct. 6 for their final regular-season match.

Queens will also compete in the ITA East Regional singles and doubles tournament, hosted at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, from Oct. 9-12.

The CACC Championship Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 17-18, with the semifinals taking place Saturday, Oct. 17, followed by the championship final Sunday, Oct. 18. The two-day, single-elimination event will be held at the Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, Del.
